Located in the heart of Staffordshire, Lower Linbrook Farm has been developed into the perfect setting for the breeding, development and preparation of thoroughbred racehorses. Our highly experienced staff live on site or in the local area and are supported by local suppliers - delivering a professional service, dedicated to the horses. Our central location makes us ideally positioned for travel to stallion studs, sales complexes and racecourses across the UK
The stud is set in 50 acres of secure grassland paddocks. We harvest around 150 Tonnes of hay per year, and this is supplemented by high quality haylage supplied by a locally based specialist company. We use high quality feeds, designed for each stage in a horses development, once again supplied locally. Our team of vets, farriers, equine dentists and physios help to ensure all the horses are in top condition both physically and mentally.
Owners Stuart & Sarah Matheson live on the farm and have built a strong, professional team - dedicated to our horses.
Our modern facilities allow us to offer a safe, professional start for the youngsters, together with the highest quality of care, nutrition and preparation for a successful career as racehorses.
We are active members of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association and the Racehorse Owners Association and we operate within the rules of racing set out by the British Horseracing Authority within our breeding, racing and syndication operations.
